Drought-Resistant Garden
Our clients had been having trouble getting much to grow in the very sunny borders of their front garden. With family connections to Australia, we used Australasian and South African-themed flora as the theme for the planting. Key plants in the scheme included Grevillea, Watsonia, Leonotis and Anigozanthos - Kangaroo Paw in common parlance. Several seasons in, the plants are thriving in their sunny position, planted in aggregate topped with a pea shingle gravel mulch.
